Why peruse different religious beliefs? If you want to understand others, you must begin by understanding their beliefs. Many people have strong religious convictions and education, discussion, and acceptance all come into play. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are monotheistic faiths practiced by about half of the world's population, monotheism referring to belief in one God. These three are termed western religions to distinguish them from the eastern religions practiced primarily in Asia.
