Submitting postings to IAW is a simple process. Just type or paste your posting, or response to a current posting, in the body of an email (no document attachments) and email to . Photographs and artwork may be attached as jpegs and emailed to . IAW does not balk at controversial subjects, however, it is suggested that you read the guidelines and additional "fine print" information below related to contributing postings. You, as author, photographer, or artist, retain copyright on any contributions.

It's About Women accepts original and previously published articles (postings), original photos, and original artwork images. Articles must be informational in content and not simply an advertisement for your product or affiliate program. Please note: Posting an article on It's About Women does not preclude your posting your article elsewhere.

We will accept most article submissions, however, we will not accept any pornographic content, slanderous or defamatory articles, articles promoting spam, warez, chainletters, business opportunities, hate, violence or discrimination against any ethnic or religious groups of any kind.

We reserve the right to reject (delete) any article submissions that we deem to be inappropriate.

Article guidelines will be strictly enforced. Articles that do not conform to the guidelines will be rejected without notice. To ensure that your article is posted, you must follow all of the guidelines.

• You must be the author, or a representative of the author, of any articles you submit.
• Articles will not be posted until reviewed by an It's About Women editor.
• The following statement must be at the top of your submission: It's About Women is given permission to publish this article electronically, free of charge, as long as the bylines are included.
• Author bylines must be included at the bottom of the article and should not exceed 10-12 lines. Bylines should include biographical information about yourself and your business. It's About Women believes that this provides you an opportunity to share your writings, photos, and artwork with other women as well as serving as a means of promotion.
Example Author Byline:
• Jane Doe is the author of "The Secrets of Internet Marketing Success." She has helped thousands of individuals succeed online. Visit her site to find out how you can get a free consultation http://www.XXX.com or mailto:Jane@XXX.com
• Articles must be submitted in plain text (.txt) format in the body of an email and must be single-spaced.
• Your article title must be placed within your email subject line, as well as within your article. (Nothing else should appear in the subject line.)
• Do not email the same article more than one time. Such emails will be deleted.
• Please indicate which category you wish to have your article published in. If the editor determines that another category would be more appropriate, the author will be notified.
• Do not include any advertising within the body of your article. Your author bylines are considered as sufficient advertising. Articles containing any advertising in the body of the article will be rejected without notice.
• You may opt to not include an email address in your byline. Phone numbers will not be posted.
• Paste your article into an email message and send it to . You must send it from a functioning email address by which you can be contacted. File attachments will not be accepted.
• If your article is accepted, you will receive notice of when it will be posted and its URL. Please allow 2-3 weeks for a response. Due to the number of submissions we receive, submissions that do not meet our guidelines will not receive a reply.

The Fine Print ~ Submission Practices and Terms of Use

By participating (reading, writing, or merely browsing) on It's About Women, you're agreeing to abide by the Terms of Use below. These rules and guidelines are here to protect you (and others) and to ensure that It's About Women is safe and enjoyable for everyone. By agreeing to these terms, you're taking responsibility for your own actions.

It's About Women is provided free of charge to you. Most sections of It's About Women are open for anyone to view, read, and/or contribute to. There may be some areas where a free membership is required for entrance, including but not limited to the Ladies' Lounge chat room and The Barter Board message board. You are responsible for your own actions, words, and statements while you are connected to It's About Women.

By logging in to It's About Women as a participant, completing the registration process, or selecting the "login" option, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by the terms of use and these terms may be modified periodically.

It's About Women is not the publisher for any of the works / contributions / photography / graphics / artwork posted for contributors by the Contributing Editors. It's About Women does screen contributions for content and there is an editorial staff that reads the articles and edits them for grammatical and typographical errors. Questionable content may be brought up with the Contributing Editor and he/she may be asked to change the content so that it may not offend any of the readers.

It's About Women cannot guarantee security, but reasonable steps are taken in an effort to maintain security on the system. Please see our Privacy Policy. If you feel security has been breached, please bring up your concerns with an It's About Women staff member. If It's About Women suspects that an account may be in use by someone who is not authorized by the account holder, It's About Women may temporarily or permanently disable that account. If such a case arises, the member will be contacted as soon as possible. It's About Women reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and to cancel an account at any time.

You are legally and ethically responsible for your work—writings, files, pictures, or any other work—that are posted for you, posted by you, or transmitted using any of It's About Women's services including, but not limited to: email, conferencing, the World Wide Web, USENET, or any other service that allows interaction or dissemination of information. In posting works on It's About Women, you are responsible for honoring the rights of others, including intellectual-property rights (copyright, patent, and trademark), the right to privacy, the right not to be libeled or slandered. For example, if you wish to contribute a copyrighted work on It's About Women, you are responsible for obtaining the copyright holder's permission first.

In posting a work via any means offered by It's About Women, you authorize other members (who have access to that service) to make personal and customary use of the work, including creating links to your work, but not otherwise to reproduce or disseminate it unless permission has been given. You also give permission to It's About Women to copy your works as part of the normal backup process, and to conference hosts to archive topics containing your works. It's About Women becomes the owner of all electronic data via posted articles, postings, discussions, etc., and does not allow reproduction of this work unless specifically granted to an individual or organization for use by the copyright holder.

You alone are responsible for the content of your messages, and the consequences of any such messages. It's About Women reserves the right to reject your submission if you are violating any of the following guidelines.

Any use by you of any other subscriber's information, personal or otherwise, for any commercial purpose or to obtain direct financial gain (e.g., mass marketing) is prohibited. Any such use shall be deemed to be a violation of these Terms of Use. It's About Women is to be used by you for your personal use only. Commercial uses of It's About Women are strictly prohibited unless prior written consent from It's About Women has been granted. You agree that you will not use any service of It's About Women for chain letters, junk mail, "spamming," solicitations (commercial or non-commercial), or bulk communications of any kind including but not limited to distribution lists to any person who has not given specific permission to be included in such a list. The only exception to this is the It's About Women classifieds section (if available).

You further agree not to use It's About Women to send or post on message boards, any message(s) or material that is unlawful, harassing, libelous, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, racially offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature or that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation, or encourage the use of controlled substances. It's About Women reserves the right to delete any such material from It's About Women.

You agree not to impersonate any other person or entity, whether actual or fictitious, including impersonating an employee of It's About Women. You further agree not to use an inappropriate username of any kind. If you do happen to choose an alias that a person, group, or organization deems inappropriate, you will be asked to consider changing it. If you feel that it has no inappropriate connotations, then an It's About Women staff member will review both parties' cases and make a judgement.

You agree not to post or use It's About Women to distribute or send any illegal material of any kind, including but not limited to, illegal material in the form of text, graphics, video, programs, or audio. Posting content or participating in any form of discussion with the intention to commit any illegal activity is strictly prohibited. You may not use It's About Women as file storage.

By submitting content to any "public area" of It's About Women, including, but not limited to: message boards, forums, contests, and chat rooms, you grant It's About Women and its affiliates the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and non-exclusive right (including any moral rights) and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, communicate to the public, perform and display the content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed. You also warrant that the holder of any Rights, including moral rights in such content, has completely and effectively waived all such rights and validly and irrevocably granted to you the right to grant the license stated above. You also permit any subscriber to access, display, view, store, and reproduce such content for personal use. Subject to the foregoing, the owner of such content placed on It's About Women retains any and all rights that may exist in such content.

It's About Women cannot and does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information provided on the site by It's About Women staff, Contributing Editors, or contributors. No individual staff member, Contributing Editor, or member can be held responsible for information provided which may be the direct or indirect cause of loss or damage to any personal property, data, or results in mental or physical harm.

It's About Women is not responsible for the content or links to the content of the Internet, World Wide Web, FTP sites, USENET, or any other service that is outside of the It's About Women web site. It's About Women takes no responsibility for the quality, suitability, functionality, or legality of any site which may be linked to or from It's About Women.

It's About Women may permit members to post classified ads and barter/sell on The Barter Board and takes no responsibility in the accuracy of the content or suitability of these.

It's About Women encourages contributors to engage one another in debates, but does not condone personal attacks on members. Ideas can be disputed or challenged, but attacks on a personal level are unacceptable and if they are brought to the attention of the staff, will be dealt with accordingly. Ideas can be attacked, but individuals cannot.

In the event that It's About Women determines that you have breached any portion of these Terms of Use, or have otherwise demonstrated conduct inappropriate for the community of It's About Women, It's About Women reserves the right to: (i) warn you via email that you have violated these Terms of Use; (ii) delete any content provided by you or your agent(s); (iii) delete all content provided by you to It's About Women; (iv) revoke your membership to It's About Women and/or any other future It's About Women online community; (v) take any other action which It's About Women deems necessary and appropriate.
