Why'd we put Room of Your Own on the Back Porch when it's such a large part of the It's About Women communal theory? Well, the back porch is a good place to sit back, put your feet up, and think about exactly what kind of room you'd like to have. What exactly is a "room" on IAW? "Rooms" are really mini-websites (or full-fledged websites) created and hosted by IAW.

Would you just like to be able to have a room where you can share photos with your friends and family? Or with everyone? Or perhaps you'd like to use your room to make a statement or reflect your personality. Display your poetry. Show off your artwork. Maybe you love to sew, carve, paint, build, or have some other talent you could use to bring in some extra dollars? We can make it happen.

Your room can be decorated any way you like and it's very inexpensive. If you already have a site, you can move to It's About Women hosting and become part of the community, Or if you'd prefer, you can just exchange links with us. Here's how it works. (Examples of rooms.)

Your room can be set up either as a sub-site of It's About Women or as your own domain name. Examples are below:

The hosting cost per page of a "room" per year is $5 for the first page per year and $2.00 for each additional page per month. For example, if you had a room with three pages, you would pay $53.00 for one year. (Purchase of domain name not included.)

Room design costs vary. A very basic "room" design will cost around $25. If you desire a more complex design for your room, contact us for more information. You will need to provide photos, graphics, and text, as well as select a color and design theme for your room. It's About Women staff will help you along the way. Other options, including e-commerce, are available.
