The safety of your children at home and away from home is a major matter of the heart. If it weren't enough trouble keeping children safe at home, at school, in the crib, in the car, in the backyard, or on a bike, to name just a few, now we have to make sure they stay safe on the Internet. Because unintentional injury is the number-one killer of our children, taking more lives than disease, violence, and suicide, safety is a priority we cannot ignore. Protecting your children from danger includes doing your best to avoid one of the most serious problems facing our society, child abuse. Unfortunately, the biggest myth is that such danger to children comes from strangers. In the majority of cases, the perpetrator is someone the parents or child knows, and that person may be a trusted or responsibility to the child and family. In the Keeping Kids Safe room, you can share and find information on how to provide a safety net for your children online and off. Below, you will find brief intros to each posting.
